Sometimes the simplest things make the biggest difference — being outside, spending time around animals, connecting with other people and doing something worthwhile.
At Pony Power, we're developing small-group experiences that bring together people, ponies, nature and shared purpose.
Pony Power brings people together to build resilience — for landscapes, wildlife and communities — through conservation, shared purpose and the enduring partnership between people and native ponies.
We believe wellbeing doesn't always need to be the activity itself. Sometimes it can be what happens along the way.
Working alongside other people towards a shared goal, spending time outdoors, learning something new, contributing what you can and seeing the difference you've made can all create opportunities for connection and a sense of purpose.
Our experiences are designed to be relaxed and inclusive. There is no expectation to ride, to have previous experience with horses or to talk about how you feel. Everyone can contribute in their own way.
Horses have been at the heart of our family and farm for many years.
Our native Dartmoor ponies are more than part of the scenery. They are part of the way we care for our landscape, grazing in a way that can help create varied habitats and support biodiversity.
Our experiences may include spending time alongside our ponies, observing herd behaviour and discovering how horses communicate and respond to the world around them.
No riding or previous horse experience is required.
Our farm sits within the Kent countryside and includes chalk grassland, hedgerows, wildflowers and habitats for a wide variety of wildlife.
The landscape changes throughout the year, offering opportunities for seasonal walks, nature observation and time spent noticing what's around us.
Our native Dartmoor ponies have an important job.
Through conservation grazing, they help manage grassland habitats and support biodiversity. We're also working to make the farm more resilient to the challenges of a changing climate by caring for the land, strengthening habitats and supporting nature's ability to adapt.
Some of our programmes will give groups the opportunity to take part in practical conservation projects and work together towards something tangible — leaving behind a positive contribution to the farm and its wildlife.
Everyone counts. Every contribution matters.
We're currently developing experiences for veterans and service communities, corporate teams, charities, community organisations and small private groups.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all workshop, we're interested in working with organisations to create experiences that are meaningful for the people taking part.
We're also exploring family-friendly activities and wellbeing and nature resources that can be enjoyed at home.
Our programme is currently in development, and we're working with partners to shape our first experiences. If your organisation would be interested in visiting Pony Power, collaborating on a programme or helping us develop something for your community, we'd love to hear from you.
